Let's get out of our comfort zone. By getting into our comfort zone. I have grown up eating Indian food for most of my life. It is pretty much my favorite thing to eat (Spicy Sarah was my nickname in high school). My dad always loved taking me to the Indian buffet for lunch in our town, when pre-vegetarian me would load up on totally authentic butter chicken (blessed be he). Even though I am vegetarian, making my own indian food (and even gobbling up Trader Joe's Chana Maala) makes for some of my favorite meals. And for me, nothing scream comfort quite like a big old warm bowl of dahl or curry chocked full of chickpeas or lentils.
I swear I have curry powder running through my veins. My yellow tinged veins.

Friday is here! YEEEE!!!!
We have made it to the other side (Hello, it's me amiright?). What are your plans for the weekend? I'm heading home to HOPEFULLY take a run on the beach. Since moving away from the water for the first time, I always appreciate with the chance to see the ocean and breathe in that salt air, ya feel? So therapeutic. Happy March my loves! We are just twenty days away from the start of spring, and well… I could not be more excited! Bring on the longer days (daylight savings starts Sunday March 13!), flowers (love) and warmer temps (love equally!). Speaking of daylight savings time, I'm pretty much the only person I know who actually looks forward to losing an hour of sleep. But there's something about not walking home in the dark after work that brings me such happiness. I am convinced that seasonal effective disorder is a real thing and something about more sun and being outside puts me in such a better mood.
Also, probably because, as an Instagrammer, I am a slave to the light. A willing slave. |
