Did I get that Outkast song stuck in your head now? For me, it's been 3 days that I have been shaking like a poloroid picture and I cannot STOP. Isn't that the most annoying thing ever? Trust me, there are some mornings when the song that is currently the alarm on my phone will not leave my head for the entire duration of the day. The worst is when the song is so stuck in your head that you stark lip-singing the words to the song. And totally not even notice. There may even be some slight shaking of the bum, which makes the whole experience for others even more terrifying. Cause then everyone you pass begins to think you are a freak mumbling to yourself like in the exorcist.
Although to be honest, I do not know how well an exorcism would go if it were done to Hey Ya lyrics
I think all of this crazy dancing stuff comes from my past life as a dancer. I used to dance ballet 12 hours a week in high school. This ballet, while classical, was not normal in the sense that we would dance en pointe to rock music. And it was the most baller thing ever. Naturally, all of that booty shaking seeped into my everyday life. I would always dance down the hallways of school with a bass pumping in my head. Or was that my green iPod mini? No matter.
ANYWAY, my ramblings are done, as this post (and recipe) are intended to be short and sweet. This breakfast is the perfect thing for fall busy mornings. It's so easy, it is stupid. And in the morning, until I have my coffee, I can be very very stupid. Why this morning alone, I tripped over my own feet and spilled the basil plant I was carrying along with all the dirt. Cue the tears. Throw everything into a jar and you are good to go! The grated apple is what really makes these oats shine! It's super creamy, super spicy, and taste just like an apple pie. And trust me, I like things spicy! The ginger is definitely something you do not want to omit, because it makes these oats so so good. This one is also super easy to top with whatever you please. Personally I would pitch for the pomegranate seeds, but that is just me.
