Hello WEEKEND!
How are you? How was your week? Mine was filled with a lot of soup. Even though it is fifty degrees. My body lately has been craving all kinds of soup, but as Selena says: The heart wants what it wants. Currently, I'm backing up my cute little backpack and heading into the city. I'm so excited to finally try Inday and maybe get a Levain cookie. Because travel is all about food right? Also I might not be able to survive without satisfying my love of Levain chocolate chip walnut cookies. True story.

Luck has never been on my side. Please see my results in the Hamilton lottery. But so far I’ve been pretty lucky this winter, as I have yet to come down with a cold. Because I have asthma, I usually get some sort of pneumonia thing or a stomach bug or something. I've always been pretty healthy and prioritize eating healthy, exercising and (most of the time) sleep, but sometimes those suckers just get ya. Yet everyone around me seems to have some sort of illness. Either my immune system is really kicking ass this year or I'm not exposed to college students who totally do not take care of themselves.
I vote both. It's no secret that I love my Indian spices. And eggs. Actually all of this. Does anyone else have the problem of the "exploding spice cabinet" ? I swear, every time that I open my spice cabinet, the jars of spices tumble out. I've always wanted to make magnetic spice rack for the surface of the refrigerator, to try and alleviate said cabinet space. But I am always the kind of person who tries desperately to be crafty and then have it end up with yarn and glitter everywhere. And like everything on Pinterest, it always ends up as a fail.
But there are worse things than extra glitter in our lives. Guys, I'm going to put on shorts and pretend spring is coming!
It's going to be 55 degrees this weekend. I know that isn't exactly summer, but I gotta find some way to celebrate. Maybe make a big bowl of banana ice cream? Maybe take my dog out for a walk on the beach? The possibilities are ENDLESS people! And I totally can't wait. Especially when it means I don't have to wear my heavy boots everywhere. They are literally a drag. I have an idea: let's all stay home and eat breakfast in bed. With Valentine's Day still in my brain ( and the post-chocolate binge still in my stomach) I am dreaming that breakfast in bed could be an all the time occurrence. As a side note, my mama (blessed be she) gave me some killer Russel Stover chocolates for the big V day. And while I love them so much, I find I can't eat more than one at a time or else I end up with a sugar binge induced tummy ache. To spare myself from such, I cut them in half in order to get some variety. But now I have so many half chocolates that I need to finish those too.
Does anyone else do this? No just me? |
